AMAZING
STORMS HIT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WITH RAIN, WIND, SNOW, & FUNNEL
CLOUDS
|
(MAJOR
SNOW, SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND PARTIAL WATERSPOUTS)
-
SWS predicted and witnessed an unusual winter
storm due to a strong spinning low pressure front that approached
from the Gulf of Alaska. This spinning low came right in the Southern
California region, unleashing the most unusual weather for this
time of year. The below images show some amazing pictures of what
occured on February 8th and 9th. As this spinning low came onshore,
there were waterspout funnels, major rainfall on the coastal plain,
and up to 48 inches of snow in parts of the Southern California
mountains.
