SEVEREWARNINGSYSTEMS.COM - Severe Weather Early Warning Systems Research

Aliso Viejo, CA. SevereWarningSystems.com announces a probe module deployment program (PMD) for data measuring, completed phase two in successful testing in a tornadic circulation April 13th. The compression charged cannon was used to launch (3) experimental probes east of Roscoe, Nebraska, in a tornadic thunderstorm. This successful launch of the probes performed by SWS team member John Hallen. One probe was recovered. This is the first time a base launch of this kind has been performed to gather tornado research data. Next, planning for GPS and other measuring data is in development for future probes. The next phase of testing during the 2010 severe weather season for the PMD program is underway.

John Hallen, is a core team participant with Severe Warning Systems, a Southern California resident, currently residing in the Orange County, California. Mr. Hallen has documented almost 50 tornadoes in the recent years. The notable, Kalvesta, Kansas chase, April 18, 2009, John witnessed the complete destruction of a ranch was caught on video. Hallen has also participated with the Discovery Channel and The Weather Channel regarding this incident. Scientific research and data gathering is a primary focus for John being in the field of severe weather events for SevereWarningSystems.com.
